WSC 2023 | Future of functional electrical stimulation devices to improve mobility in stroke

Functional electrical stimulation (FES) can improve mobility in patients after stroke. In this video, Rosalyn Grabarz, Birmingham Community Healthcare Trust, Birmingham, UK, introduces the FES devices used in her clinic. The most widely used devices, including MICROSTIM2v2 and ODFS Pace, can be difficult to use for some patients due to many attached wires. The user acceptability of wireless versions, such as WalkAide II and SaeboStim Pro, is now being tested. This interview took place at the World Stroke Congress (WSC) 2023 in Toronto, Canada.
