Aravind Ganesh, MD, University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, discusses the evidence for using artificial intelligence (AI) to guide treatment decisions in acute ischemic stroke. Dr Ganesh explains that AI tools speed up treatment decisions but have not yet been shown to improve outcome. He highlights the GOLDEN BRIDGE II trial (NCT04524624) as a notable exception, and outlines the unanswered questions that must be addressed before AI tools are deployed more widely.
