ACTRIMS 2024 | Standardizing paramagnetic rim lesion assessment in MS research

Jack Reeves, MD, The State University of New York, New York, NY, talks on efforts to standardize protocols for paramagnetic rim lesion (PRL) assessment as a key step towards clinical implementation. The 2024 publication of a consensus statement from the North American Imaging in Multiple Sclerosis Cooperative on the radiological definition and measurement of chronic active lesions is an important step towards standardization. Dr Reeves believes that an assessment of consistency across research centers is the next necessary step. This interview took place during the annual ACTRIMS Forum 2024.
