MDS 2023 | The need for increased awareness and education for movement disorders

Francisco Cardoso, MD, PhD, FAAN, The Federal University of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, highlights the importance of providing knowledge on movement disorders to both healthcare professionals and the general public. Prof. Cardoso highlights that many individuals with movement disorders often feel neglected, believing they have rare diseases that receive little attention. However, he notes that events like the MDS International Congress demonstrate the significant progress in this field, urging everyone to continue increasing awareness and education.
