AAN 2024 | Growing evidence for sleep and brain health

Karin Johnson, MD, University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate, Springfield, MA, comments on the growing recognition of the importance of sleep for brain health. Increasingly, data is showing the negative impact of lack of sleep, poor quality sleep, and circadian misalignment on brain health, such as through increasing the risk of both stroke and dementia.
