AAN 2023 | Considerations for diverse MS care and research from registries

Mitzi Joi Williams, MD, Joi Life Wellness Group, Smyrna, GA, shares practical considerations for diverse multiple sclerosis (MS) care and research. It is important to be aware of the differences in the literature regarding the understanding of MS in diverse populations. Health disparities exist, and healthcare professionals can look for ways to try and alleviate or decrease some of those disparities in clinical settings. Using real-world data and registries can help better understand why some of those differences are observed. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting 2023 in Boston, MA.
