By 2050, two-thirds of the world population is expected to live in cities. Andreas Meyer-Lindenberg, MD, PhD, Central Institute of Mental Health, University of Heidelberg, Medical Faculty Mannheim, Mannheim, Germany, outlines potentially modifiable factors that can make city life less harmful to the brain. Results from a study published in 2019 showed that access to green spaces improves the sense of well-being in city dwellers. This interview was recorded during an online conference call with The Video Journal of Neurology (VJNeurology).
