EAN 2023 | Research priorities in cerebral amyloid angiopathy: future therapies and identifying subtype

Anna Bersano, MD, PhD, IRCCS Carlo Besta Neurological Institute Foundation, Milan, Italy, discusses the latest updates in cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) and highlights the discovery of new markers and subtypes, reshaping our understanding of CAA. The ongoing collection of new cases will broaden our insights into the disease spectrum. Dr Bersano also discusses the newest subtypes identified, CAA-ri and iCAA, and that there are trials in progress to improve therapies. This interview took place at the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) 2023 Congress in Budapest, Hungary.
