Amy Milton, PhD, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK, outlines the processes involved in memory formation. For decades it was believed that memory consolidation was a unitary process. However, studies done in the last two decades proved the generalization of memory reconsolidation, the process by which memories become labile and susceptible to disruption following retrieval. This interview was recorded during an online conference call with The Video Journal of Neurology (VJNeurology).
