So what we did was that we used mediation analysis and our measure for brain health to see whether our measure for brain health, which is called the effective reserve, actually mediates part of the effect of acute stroke lesion volume on functional outcome after stroke. And what we found is that among the around 1,000 patients that we investigated, we could see that around one third of the total effect of stroke lesion volume on functional outcome after stroke was mediated through brain health loss. And we found that quite interesting. So that means that the loss of brain health is actually impacting your outcome after stroke.
