Sleep Europe 2026 | Oveporexton in Chinese patients with narcolepsy type 1: RadiantLight subpopulation analysis

Shuqin Zhan, MD, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China, discusses a Chinese subpopulation analysis of the Phase III RadiantLight trial (NCT06505031) of oveporexton, an oral orexin receptor 2 (OX2R)-selective agonist, in patients with narcolepsy type 1 (NT1). Dr Zhan explains that oveporexton led to substantial improvements in wakefulness, daytime sleepiness and cataplexy compared with placebo after 12 weeks. These encouraging findings suggest that oveporexton can improve multiple core symptoms of NT1 in Chinese patients. This interview took place at Sleep Europe 2026 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
