EAN 2021 | Using MRI to identify MS pathology in the cerebellum

Raffaello Bonacchi, MD, IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Milan, Italy, discusses the use of advanced MRI techniques to identify cerebellar damage in patients with relapsed/remitting or progressive multiple sclerosis (MS). Data indicates that lesions are more critical in relapsed/remitting patients, and grey matter loss is more important in advanced patients. Dr Bonacchi also discusses the identification of MRI phenotypes of cerebellar damage in MS. This interview took place during the European Academy of Neurology 2021 congress.
