Bárbara Guerra Leal, PhD, UMIB-ICBAS, University of Porto, Porto, Portugal, talks on the role of inflammation in epilepsy. Dr Guerra Leal reveals that there is an overexpression of inflammatory mediators, such as IL-8, in the brain tissue of patients with epilepsy.
