EAN 2023 | Wearables: technological advancements in movement disorder management

Angelo Antonini, MD, PhD, University of Padua, Padua, Italy, discusses the technological advancements revolutionizing movement disorder management. His team is working on a project to design and track disease trajectories based on various indicators, including wearables, genetic status, comorbidities, and clinical data. By predicting a patient’s disease course from their initial visit, treatments can be tailored, especially in cases of cognitive impairment. This interview took place at the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) 2023 Congress in Budapest, Hungary.
