Sleep Europe 2024 | Self-applied vs in-lab MSLT: a study for easier narcolepsy diagnosis and investigation

Petar Chipev, MD, Sleep Laboratory InSpiro, Sofia, Bulgaria, discusses a study investigating the multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) in patients with narcolepsy using a self-applied device that allows them to conduct the test in their home environment rather than a lab setting. This approach not only simplifies the testing process but also shows promising results, achieving 100% specificity and 88% sensitivity in initial trials. This interview took place at the Sleep Europe 2024 congress in Seville, Spain.
