ECTRIMS 2024 | Adverse events associated with natalizumab in MS and advice on mitigating them

Maya Zeineddine, PharmD, Lebanese American University, Byblos, Lebanon, discusses adverse events (AEs)associated with natalizumab in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), with reference to a study comparing natalizumab to anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. She mentions that common AEs are infusion reactions, infections, and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy and gives advice on mitigating them. This interview took place at the 40th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS 2024) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
