IEC 2023 | Epilepsy education in Egypt

Nirmeen Kishk, MD, Kasr Alainy Hospital, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, outlines a number of educational activities underway in Egypt to improve the diagnosis and management of epilepsy. For example the ILAE-Eastern Mediterranean is running online webinars and summer schools, and funding visiting expert programs to give specialized teachings. There is also a focus on increasing education for GPs and neurologists, so they can best direct patients for further evaluation. This interview took place at the International Epilepsy Congress 2023 in Dublin, Ireland.
