Shashank Shekhar, MD, MSc, FAHA, Duke University School Of Medicine, Durham, NC, comments on the management of patients with visual field deficits following stroke. He states that patients with visual impairments are often referred to occupational therapists, and some are evaluated by specialized low-vision clinics. Dr Shekhar notes that most recovery is achieved through compensation techniques, although there is some data using prism adaptation techniques. This interview took place at the 2025 International Stroke Conference (ISC), held in Los Angeles, CA.
