Selim Benbadis, MD, FAAN, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, talks on mobile and ambulatory electroencephalogram (EEG) and diagnostic systems that include video that can be used in the patient’s home. Ambulatory equipment provides clinicians with a diagnostic option that is more convenient for the patients. This is particularly helpful in patients whose episodes are not frequent enough to bring them to an in-patient monitoring unit. The use of ambulatory tools for diagnosing and monitoring epilepsy patients is already in progress and is considered one of the most exciting developments in epilepsy care. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
