Sleep Europe 2024 | A multi-center study on the effectiveness of the Daytime-Nighttime Appliance for OSA treatment

Clete Kushida, MD, PhD, Stanford University Medical Center, Redwood City, CA, discusses the Daytime-Nighttime Appliance (DNA), a slow maxillary expansion device for pediatric patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). A multi-center study (NCT05661747) found that the DNA device demonstrated significant improvements in all measured outcomes. This device provides the option of a temporary oral appliance that can increase airway volume and improve OSA symptoms. This interview took place at the Sleep Europe 2024 congress in Seville, Spain.
