EAN 2024 | Enhancing the use of advanced MRI in MS diagnosis and monitoring

Serena Borrelli, MD, PhD candidate, Université catholique de Louvain & Hôpital Erasme, Université Libre de Brussels, Brussels, Belgium, highlights the lack of a standardized protocol for performing and reading MRI scans and using advanced biomarkers when managing patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). She comments on the importance of improving the expertise of professionals performing these scans and emphasizes the need to enhance the understanding of which MS cases should have these advanced biomarkers integrated into clinical practice. This interview took place at the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) Annual Meeting 2024 in Helsinki, Finland.
