Pedro Viana, MD, PhD(c), King’s College London, London, UK, briefly comments on the role ultra-long-term electroencephalogram (EEG) data may play in understanding the interplay between epilepsy and sleep. For example, it is important to understand how seizures during sleep may affect sleep quality, as this may, in turn, affect a patient’s cognitive function. This interview took place at the 15th European Epilepsy Congress (EEC) 2024 in Rome, Italy.
