EAN 2024 | Improving the assessment of patients with MG: monitoring QoL & psychiatric comorbidities

Francesco Sacca, MD, PhD, University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, comments on the importance of assessing patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) using standardized methods. Dr Sacca emphasizes the need for a weekly assessment of the standardized MG Activities of Daily Living scale (MG-ADL) and the use of quality of life (QoL) measures, such as EQ-5D, to evaluate the impact of the disease on patients’ lives. This comprehensive approach is crucial for managing MG, as the disease can have significant effects on a patient’s mental health and QoL. This interview took place at the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) Annual Meeting 2024 in Helsinki, Finland.
