Helen Tremlett, PhD, The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, discusses a study that found impaired cognitive performance up to two years before multiple sclerosis (MS) symptom onset, providing evidence for a prodromal phase in MS. Findings also suggested that those who were diagnosed with primary progressive MS had lower cognitive performance up to 10-20 years before symptom onset. This interview took place at the 40th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS 2024) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
