Helen Tremlett, PhD, The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, compares the prodromal phase in multiple sclerosis (MS) to other immune-mediated diseases. She details studies showing shared features across immune-mediated diseases in the years leading up to diagnosis, showing overlap between them and a need for better biomarkers to diagnose MS early.
