Sleep Europe 2024 | Long-term sleep recordings to improve sleep disorder diagnostics

Petar Chipev, MD, Sleep Laboratory InSpiro, Sofia, Bulgaria, speaks about testing devices for longer recordings in sleep studies, highlighting that sleep disorders may vary across consecutive nights, and a single-night assessment could miss critical data. He explains that their research focuses on patients at high risk for moderate to severe sleep apnea and has shown that measuring over multiple nights does not significantly change diagnostic outcomes. This interview took place at the Sleep Europe 2024 congress in Seville, Spain.
