Mariam Kekenadze, MD, PhD(c), Tbilisi State Medical University, Tbilisi, GA, describes challenges in identifying and diagnosing amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), highlighting that no specific biomarkers or MRI changes have been identified that can be used for diagnosis. In addition, ALS can present similarly to other conditions, further complicating diagnosis. This interview took place at the 12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
