Marta Ponzano, MD, Link Campus University, Rome, Italy, discusses the SocialMS study, a cross-sectional study evaluating the impact of multiple sclerosis (MS) on social determinants of health, including education, employment, social life, and economic resources. Dr Ponzano highlights that the study found approximately 50% of patients reported impacts on social life and employment, and identifies socioeconomic factors, comorbidities, and disability as key risk factors for a greater MS burden. This interview took place at the 12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
