Alicja Kalinowska, MD, PhD, Poznań University of Medical Sciences, Poznań, Poland, discusses the concept of prodromal multiple sclerosis (MS), arguing that many symptoms occurring years before a classic MS diagnosis may reflect early biological disease rather than a separate prodromal phase. She highlights emerging evidence linking nonspecific symptoms such as anxiety, vertigo, insomnia, and urinary or gastrointestinal complaints to underlying MS pathology. This interview took place at the 12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
