This was a project that really came out of a collaboration between myself and Dr Irene Patniyot at Texas Children’s Hospital when we were both fellowship directors for Pediatric Headache Fellowship. And we both recognized that pediatric headache specialists, there’s not that many of us, and there’s even fewer who are involved in fellowship training. And so we wanted to create a program that allowed collaboration from different pediatric headache specialists from all over the world. And the initial goal was really to allow our fellows the exposure and the experience to multiple different viewpoints when it comes to their didactic learning. And so we created this virtual series. It’s twice a month on Fridays. And we invite pediatric headache specialists from all over the world. It is free. CME is offered. And what has been most surprising to us is that we were really targeting fellows at the beginning. But what we’re seeing now is that our audience is incredibly wide and variable. So we have, yes, fellows, but also general neurology faculty, adult headache fellows, residents. We have nurse practitioners who are practicing a lot of the time in solo practice who are gaining expertise through this. But we also have people like researchers and pharmacy students, pain psychologists. And so we’ve really been able to offer this important didactic and curricular experience to people across the world. So if you’re interested in learning more, if you go to the UT Dell Med Pediatric Headache Fellowship website, there is an entire section on how to sign up. All of the past lectures are free and accessible. You can go and peruse them and watch them at your own pace. So go to that website and you can find out more.
