This year’s ACTRIMS meeting in San Diego was terrific. It lived up to the expectations of ACTRIMS really defining itself as a premier meeting for MS research, as well as highlighting some important developments in the clinical trial and therapeutic realm. One of the highlights from my perspective was the inclusion of new faces to the MS community and an emphasis on highlighting and showcasing work by and presented by young investigators in the field...
This year’s ACTRIMS meeting in San Diego was terrific. It lived up to the expectations of ACTRIMS really defining itself as a premier meeting for MS research, as well as highlighting some important developments in the clinical trial and therapeutic realm. One of the highlights from my perspective was the inclusion of new faces to the MS community and an emphasis on highlighting and showcasing work by and presented by young investigators in the field. We heard a lot about the immunology, the neurobiology, the risk factors, as well as both mechanisms of repair in multiple sclerosis, and had some updates on some of the most important emerging clinical trial outcomes, including some of the emerging Bruton tyrosine kinase or BTK inhibitors and other therapeutics. So overall, a very exciting meeting. People enjoyed it so much that they even avoided spending time in the beautiful San Diego weather.
