Marte-Helene Bjork, MD, PhD, Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, Norway, discusses future research directions for the treatment of post-traumatic epilepsy. Key focuses for future research include systematic testing of possible treatments, achieving success in human as well as animal trials, and the development of a treatment to stop post-traumatic epileptogenesis. Dr Bjork also highlights the importance of high-quality neurointensive care. This interview took place during the European Academy of Neurology 2021 congress.
