Sleep Europe 2024 | Gender-specific patterns of sleep in children and the potential role in psychiatric disorders
Kevin Mammeri, PhD Candidate, University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland, discusses his work on gender-specific developmental patterns of sleep in children. The study involved 61 children whose sleep was recorded by electroencephalogram (EEG), and it found distinct sleep trajectories between girls and boys. Mr Mammeri goes on to discuss how this may play a role in the onset of psychiatric disorders. This interview took place at the Sleep Europe 2024 congress in Seville, Spain.
