AHS 2024 | Research goals from the American Headache Society

Amynah Pradhan, PhD, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO, outlines the current research priorities of the American Headache Society, identified by the Headache Research Priorities Working Group. She highlights the importance of publishing research priorities to serve as guidance for investigators and to help synergize the work of the research community to reach key goals more efficiently. As well as priorities in basic science, diagnosis, treatment, and clinical care, the group defined workforce development goals. Dr Pradhan highlights the aims of the society to increase funding and educational opportunities for headache research, to foster new collaborations between clinical and pre-clinical researchers, and to increase participation amongst more junior researchers. This interview took place at the American Headache Society (AHS) Annual Meeting 2024 in San Diego, CA.
