Keyoumars Ashkan, MB BCh, MD, MRCP, FRCS, FRCP, FRCPS, FRCPath, FRCS, King’s College London, London, UK, discusses the benefits of deep brain stimulation (DBS) over other invasive infusion therapies. Parkinson’s disease is highly complex and has a range of non-motor symptoms that can have an impact on the quality of life.
