Sleep Europe 2024 | The relationship between RLS and cognitive impairment
Ambra Stefani, MD, PhD, Medical University of Innsbruck, Innsbruck, Austria, highlights the data from a large meta-analysis that found a correlation between cognitive impairment and restless leg syndrome (RLS). Some studies have also suggested that the presence of RLS might be a risk factor for the development of cognitive impairment or dementia. Prospective multicentric studies are required to confirm these findings. This interview took place at the Sleep Europe 2024 congress in Seville, Spain.
