Ioannis Sotiropoulos, PhD, Medical School, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, discusses the association of stress with increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease and depression, a known risk for Alzheimer’s disease. A study conducted by Dr Sotiropoulos showed that previously known Alzheimer’s disease-related mechanisms are also involved in stress-driven depression. This interview was recorded during an online conference call with The Video Journal of Neurology (VJNeurology).
