Anthony Hannan, PhD, Florey Institute, University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia, discusses the emerging treatment strategy that he has proposed, known as enviromimetics, which are novel drugs that mimic or enhance the beneficial effects of physical activity, cognitive stimulation and other lifestyle factors.
