WSC 2026 | DAPT vs thrombolysis in acute non-disabling stroke: is it a fair comparison?

S. Claiborne Johnston, MD, PhD, Harbor Health, Austin, TX, and UCSF, San Francisco, CA, discusses the use of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) and thrombolysis for patients with non-disabling ischemic stroke. Dr Johnston explains that it is not a fair comparison as they have different roles, but trials have suggested thrombolysis is not effective in these patients. This interview took place at the 18th World Stroke Congress (WSC) in Seoul, Korea.
