Acute Ischemic Stroke Intracerebral Hemorrhage Stroke

Valeria Caso, MD, PhD, FESO, from Santa Maria della Misericordia Hospital, University of Perugia, Perugia, Italy, shares her highlights from the ESOC 2024 meeting. They included the presentation of clinical trials such as INTERACT4 (NCT03790800) in which ambulance-delivered blood pressure reduction was investigated in acute stroke patients. Prof. Caso emphasizes that this technique was only found to be beneficial in hemorrhagic strokes and is detrimental to patients suffering ischemic strokes. This interview was conducted at the 10th European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC) 2024 in Basel, Switzerland.
