MDS 2022 | Diagnosing genetic disorders: promoting equal access to advanced health centers

Kailash Bhatia, MBBS, FRCP, FAAN, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, London, UK, talks about the need for equal access to specialized health centers. At present, not all patients have access to specialized centers, which may delay diagnosis. The government and medical authorities should develop care packages on a diagnostic basis to support equal access to all patients. This will indeed promote access to genetic diagnosis to a larger community. This interview took place at the 2022 International Congress of Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorders in Madrid, Spain.
