Sogol Javaheri, MD, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, OH, discusses findings from a study evaluating the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) among consecutive patients with atrial fibrillation using WatchPAT home sleep testing. She highlights the association between persistent AF, more severe sleep apnea, and poorer AF-related quality of life. This interview took place at the 40th annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS) in Baltimore, MD.
